For six years, St. Mark’s and Chattahoochee Valley Episcopal Ministries have hosted a week long program called TAP (Thompson-Pound Art Program) in Troup County. This is a multi-cultural, interfaith, arts based program for rising first graders through rising sixth graders. TAP involves 45-60 children, 15-20 teen mentors, and 12-20 adult volunteers from throughout the community.
Troup TAP 2010 will be held at the Center for Creative Learning at the LaGrange Art Museum. The dates are June 7- June 11 from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm. The theme for this year’s TAP program is People of Peace. TAP is an intercultural, interfaith arts based program for children who are 6-12 years old. Admission is free, but registration is required. Application forms are available in the Cloister Room. Any teen who are 13 years or older are invited to apply to serve as teen mentors for TAP.
